Boot Camp

Boot Camp...The place where you will make your transformation from a civilian to a full-fledged Navy Sailor. Navy boot camp is 8 weeks of grueling mental and physical tests. You will be pushed to the limit of what you can do and be expected to go beyond it. This 8 weeks will turn you, a civilian, into a Navy Sailor - walking proud and in top condition for your first tour of duty.

During boot camp, you will gain the self confidence and knowledge of a Navy Sailor. It is truly a life changing experience that you will remember for the rest of your days.

Each week is broken down into different courses. During each course you will be tested over what you have learned. At the end of six weeks, you will be given the most important test; twelve different scenarios combining the skills that you have learned. A successful compeltion of this couse means that you are no longer a recruit, but a true-blue Navy Sailor.

Here's a glimpse of week 1:

New to the Navy? Welcome to processing week. Once you arrive you’ll be given your new Navy-issued clothing but pay attention....you'll also be taught the right way to fold and store your new belongings, and make your bunk (bed). Knowing how to do this the "Navy way" will either make or break you so focus, focus, focus.

You’ll receive complete dental and medical exams, if you need a haircut, that’ll happen too. Only one style is available...short.

As the week progresses, you’ll spend your days conditioning, swimming, marching, learning drills, and most importantly attending Navy classes.

Everything you do from week to week is designed to prep you for what lies ahead. You will push your physical limits and achieve higher performance levels than you ever thought possible.

In the Navy, you’ll be judged for who you are and it will be up to you to prove your worth!
